Itinerary
Day 1 - Friday March 5th
Plan to arrive into Hanoi's Noi Bai Airport (HAN) by 4pm. From there you'll be picked up by private driver and taken to our hotel in the heart of the city. Hanoi is the charming Vietnamese capital full of peaceful lakes, parks, shady boulevards, monuments, Colonial architecture and more than 600 temples and pagodas. It's a wonderful city to explore by foot and we will have plenty of time during our stay to see it all. Tonight we'll enjoy a delicious array of appetizers and welcome drinks while we get to know each other and talk about the amazing things in store for the week ahead. After our welcome party, the night is yours to discover the bustling city night life or turn in early to prepare for our exciting week of exploring Vietnam!

Overnight in Hanoi
Day 2 - Saturday March 6th
Today we wake up early for chance to observe the Vietnamese way of life and amazing culinary culture. Among many other activities, we'll take a morning stroll along Hoan Kiem Lake, tour the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and visit the picturesque Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first national university constructed in 1070. Throughout our day we'll get a chance to taste the cuisine that has made this city famous. This will be a full day of touring and tasting.

Day 3 - Sunday March 7th
We have a special treat in store for us today as we'll be visiting one of Vietnam's most spectacular sites. We'll first stop in Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of the Ninh Binh province where we'll see the temples of King Dinh and King Le before heading to the wharf at Tam Coc. Here we will ride in sampan boats while taking in the lush rice paddies, karst formations, and caves of the surrounding area. Once we've finished our boat ride, we will cycle to the Bich Dong Pagoda and around the villages in the countryside. We'll return to our hotel in Hanoi in the evening.

Day 4 - Monday March 8th
After a short flight, we will arrive in Da Nang, the laid back and friendly city known for its savory street foods and the Buddhist grottos of the Marble Mountains. After we've had a chance to settle in, we'll take an evening walking tour where we will experience the local night life while enjoying some amazing sidewalk dining. We'll learn about the city and culture as we check out local eateries.

Day 5 - Tuesday March 9th
This morning we'll set out to Hue, the historical city clustered around the Perfume River. There are endless must-see sites that include the Citadel, royal tombs and the Forbidden Purple City. With our private driver and guide, we'll get a chance to see the most important of the Hue monuments and take a leisurely boat ride on the river. This will be a full day tour, but we will return to our hotel in DaNang with some time to unwind or venture out for the evening.

Day 6 - Wednesday March 10th
On this day, we'll enjoy breakfast at our hotel before visiting the Marble Mountains to check out the grottoes and the summit of Thuy Son to take in a panoramic view of the surrounding area. After this we will make our way to Hoi An. This central Vietnamese city is known for its well-preserved Ancient Town that reflects its melting-pot history through its diverse architecture that mixes several eras. Take this evening to roam the streets with the friends you've made on the trip or explore this gorgeous city and its exciting night market on your own.

Day 7 - Thursday March 11th
Today we'll embark on a culinary adventure. Our day will start with a trip to the market to purchase all of our fresh ingredients. We'll then board a river boat for a relaxing ride to Thuan Tinh Island. We'll take a row boat ride on the water through coconut trees to visit the local village, then walk through the gardens to our open air cooking class overlooking the river. We'll learn how to make delicious Vietnamese food while enjoying the peaceful outdoor setting. After we've tried all of the amazing foods we've prepared, we'll return to our hotel in Hoi An to enjoy the remainder of our day there. In the evening we'll gather together to reminisce about our incredible trip and enjoy a goodbye dinner at one of Vietnam's best eateries.

Day 8 - Friday March 12th
On this last day everybody will begin their journey home (or to the next destination of their private vacations). Transportation to the airport in Da Nang will be provided. See below for details for the extension to Phu Quoc island.

Phu Quoc Extension - Friday March 12th - Monday March 15th
Consider extending your trip for an extra four days to soak up the sun on scenic Phu Quoc island. This gorgeous island off the coast of Southern Vietnam is known for its beautiful beaches and warm turquoise waters. Whether you want to lay by the water all day or spend time hiking the lush jungles, there is something for everyone on this island.
During the extension there are no planned group activities. This is a time for you to do whatever you would like in this tropical paradise. Accommodation in a private room at a luxury guesthouse or villa with pool and restaurant on-site, as well as daily breakfasts, are included in extension cost. Transportation from Da Nang to Phu Quoc island and our hotel are also included, in addition to transportation to Phu Quoc airport for anybody who would like it on Monday March 15th.

February 28th Sunday
Plan to arrive into Cambodia's Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (REP) by 4pm. You'll be picked up by private driver and taken to our beautiful guesthouse in the heart of the city. Siem Reap is a lively town with a lot to offer outside of the beautiful Angkor temples. After you've had a chance to unpack and get settled we'll head out for appetizers and drinks in the frenetic Pub Street area where we'll get to know each other and talk about the exciting week ahead.

March 1st Monday
Today we'll get moving before the sun and make our way to the incredible Angkor Wat temple to set up and watch the sun rise over the beautiful reflection ponds in the front of the temple. We'll spend the rest of our time at the complex today visiting several of the other stunning temples it houses including Bayon, the richly decorated Khmer temple with over 200 giant smiling faces and gothic towers, and Ta Prohm, the famous temple known for it's huge trees and roots growing out of it's walls. After soaking up all of the complex's incredible history and taking our fill of pictures we'll make our way back to our guesthouse to unwind by the pool, get an in-room massage, or wander the lively downtown area.

March 2nd Tuesday
After sleeping in for a bit today and enjoying a quiet breakfast, we'll head back out to the Angkor complex to see Ta Keo where you can climb a steep set of stairs to reach the top where you'll be rewarded with views of the surrounding area from above and Baphuon Temple, largely ignored by other tourists, we'll almost certainly have the majority of the temple to ourselves as we explore the 10th-century Hindu pyramid of Phimeanakas and Prasat Preah Palilay, which has had almost no reconstruction work done on it and has several large trees growing up through the rubble. It is quite a spectacular site to behold. We will again have the afternoon to unwind and recharge after our busy day.

March 3rd Wednesday
Today we'll take a little break from all of our exhilarating temple-hopping and visit one of the lesser known floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake, Kompong Khleang. It’s a fishing village where wooden huts stand high on stilts on the edge of the lake. We'll hop on a boat to explore and head down the numerous channels. We'll pass narrow engine-powered canoes piled with fishing nets and shellfish; women bathing in sarongs and children swimming; and farmers ploughing the fields next to the lake to plant beans and corn. Here we'll have a chance to observe daily life on the lake.

March 4th Thursday
We'll begin our day today wandering the busy streets of Siem Reap at several of the buzzing morning markets. We'll have a chance to shop and pick up souvenirs or pamper ourselves at one of the many spas before we head out to the incredible Banteay Srei temple, built largely of red sandstone, a medium that lends itself to the elaborate decorative wall carvings which are still observable today. Considered by many to be the jewel in the crown of Angkorian art, Banteay Srei includes some of the finest stone carving anywhere on Earth. This temple lies outside of the general area of the other Angkor temples and deserves a visit of it's own. After taking in the temple's exquisite beauty we'll stay to watch the sunset before heading back to our guesthouse for the evening.

Today we'll board a flight to Hanoi and meet up with the rest of our group to begin our incredible journey in Vietnam!

Pricing and Payment Schedule
The total cost for this trip is $2890.00. You can pay the full amount when you register, or if you would like to break it up into payments, they would be as follows:
The initial trip deposit (First payment) of $725.00 is due immediately in order to reserve your spot.
If you reserve your spot before October 1st, 2020 the payment schedule will be:
Second payment in the amount of $725.00 will be made by November 1st, 2020
Third payment in the amount of $720.00 will be made by December 1st, 2020
Final payment in the amount of $720.00 will be made by January 1st, 2021
If you reserve your spot between October 2nd and November 1st, 2020 the payment schedule will be:
Second payment in the amount of $1085.00 will be made by December 1st, 2020
Final payment in the amount of $1080.00 will be made by January 1st, 2020
If you reserve your spot between November 2nd and December 1st, 2020 you will need to pay the remainder of the trip cost in the amount of $2165.00 by January 1st, 2021.
Any reservations made after December 1st, 2020 will require the full trip payment amount of $2890.00.
If you are going on the extension, you will need to pay the full $800.00 extension cost by January 1st, 2021.
Refund and Reimbursement Policy
If you have to cancel your trip for any reason, the following refund schedule will apply. Please note all the initial trip deposit is non-refundable.
If you cancel by November 1st, 2020 - the full amount of the payments you have made so far (less the $725.00 deposit) will be refunded to you.
If you cancel between November 2nd and December 1st, 2020 - 75% of the payments you have made so far (less the $725.00 deposit) will be refunded to you.
If you cancel between December 2nd, 2020 and January 1st, 2021 - 50% of the payments you have made so far (less the $725.00 deposit) will be refunded to you.
If you cancel between January 2nd and February 1st, 2021 - 25% of the payments you have made so far (less the $725.00 deposit) will be refunded to you.
There will be no refunds for any trip cancelled after February 1st, 2021.

If you reserve your spot between October 2nd and November 1st, 2020 the payment schedule will be:
Second payment in the amount of $1085.00 will be made by December 1st, 2020
Final payment in the amount of $1080.00 will be made by January 1st, 2020
If you reserve your spot between November 2nd and December 1st, 2020 you will need to pay the remainder of the trip cost in the amount of $2165.00 by January 1st, 2021.
Any reservations made after December 1st, 2020 will require the full trip payment amount of $2890.00.
If you are going on the extension, you will need to pay the full $800.00 extension cost by January 1st, 2021.
Refund and Reimbursement Policy
If you have to cancel your trip for any reason, the following refund schedule will apply. Please note all the initial trip deposit is non-refundable.
If you cancel by November 1st, 2020 - the full amount of the payments you have made so far (less the $725.00 deposit) will be refunded to you.
If you cancel between November 2nd and December 1st, 2020 - 75% of the payments you have made so far (less the $725.00 deposit) will be refunded to you.
If you cancel between December 2nd, 2020 and January 1st, 2021 - 50% of the payments you have made so far (less the $725.00 deposit) will be refunded to you.
If you cancel between January 2nd and February 1st, 2021 - 25% of the payments you have made so far (less the $725.00 deposit) will be refunded to you.
There will be no refunds for any trip cancelled after February 1st, 2021.
